Exploring Buddhism:
Practical Wisdom for Daily Life

This six-week course is open to everyone. It introduces the fundamental principles of Buddhism in a down-to-earth and practical way, including meditation, an understanding of the origins of our unhappiness (within the mind), and how we can gradually bring unhappy states of mind to an end.

Each session explores how these teachings can be applied in daily life to cultivate inner peace, clarity, and resilience. The course gives a strong foundation in Buddhist philosophy, along with practical tools for creating a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Each class includes two guided meditations and a talk on nurturing deeper inner peace and developing a clear sense of purpose and direction in life. There is also time for questions and discussion. Each session is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any point. No previous experience is required.

The classes are held in the peaceful, friendly, and comfortable surroundings of the Bayview Hill Community Centre.

Meditations

Simple guided meditations that lead to an experience of inner peace.

I've been to five workshops at this centre over the last year and it's completely revolutionized my meditation practice. I'm super grateful to have stumbled across them and recommend them every chance I get. Thanks!

— Andrew

Every time I join a workshop, I go home with valuable lessons that I can live by in daily life. The teachings are logical and cleaned my negativity significantly.

— Sara

I apply many of the teachings in everything I do in my daily life and I can say I am a much happier person and lead a much lighter life. This is my personal experience. I hope that if you get a chance to try them out they’ll be helpful in some way to you as well.

— Bianca
