Note: This retreat is intended for those who have already received a Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment of Vajrayogini, or who intend to receive this empowerment in the near future.
During this guided retreat we will engage in completion stage practices of Highest Yoga Tantra, with an emphasis on meditating on the inner fire (tummo) in eight stages as presented in the book Clear Light of Bliss by the Buddhist meditation master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
By training in these meditations we can learn to manifest our very subtle mind—the clear light of bliss—and use this powerful mind to meditate on emptiness, the ultimate nature of reality.
This union of bliss and wisdom has tremendous power to destroy our delusions at their root, enabling us to accomplish the real meaning of our human life for the benefit of all living beings.
Each retreat session includes a teaching and guided meditations. Between sessions there will be time to relax, enjoy refreshments, or connect with others in the community area.
Silence will be observed in the mornings during this retreat, and participants are welcome to attend the retreat on a fully silent basis.
