In this five-week series, Gen Chodor will guide you through inspiring Buddhist practices designed to help overcome both inner and outer obstacles—whether it’s negative thoughts, discouragement, or painful emotions. By engaging in these practices, you can cultivate a mind that is clearer, calmer, and more resilient, opening the door to greater wisdom, compassion, and spiritual fulfillment.
Classes are held in the peaceful, spacious, quiet, and comfortable meditation room at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada.
Each class in this series is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any point. After each class, you are invited to join us in our community room for complimentary refreshments and the opportunity to ask questions. We also have many books and other meditation materials available at our Temple shop to help you deepen your understanding and meditation experience through further reading.

Nov 18 & 25: Relying upon the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden
– Receive protection, guidance, and courage in your daily life.
Dec 2: Prostration Practice
– Purify past negative karma and create space for positive change.
Dec 9: Introduction to Green Tara Practice
– Invite swift help and compassionate support in times of need.
Dec 16: Reciting the Heart Sutra
– Clear obstacles, awaken wisdom, and cultivate inner freedom.

Pre-registration is encouraged to allow a smoother registration process and decrease your wait time at the door. Doors will open 30 minutes before the start of the event.

Parking spaces are limited in the residential neighbourhood. For this reason, it is easier to come by public transport if this is an option for you.
It is possible to find parking further away in the nearby streets. Please allow more travel time.

By car: We are located close to the intersection Bloor & Christie, on Crawford Street, which is a one way street from Harbord to Bloor.
