What to Expect

Explore the Temple

Take a guided tour of Toronto’s beautiful Kadampa Buddhist Temple for World Peace, a peaceful space in the heart of the city, and learn about its history and unique features.

Built in 1902 and transformed into a Buddhist Temple in 2005, it is home to a large meditation hall, community spaces, and one of Toronto’s most distinctive Buddhist shrines.

Try a Meditation

Experience a short, beginner-friendly guided meditation. You don’t need to know how to meditate. We’ll guide you through it.

Meet the Community

Enjoy refreshments and informal conversation with the people who practise and volunteer at the Centre. Including Buddhist monks!

Never Been to a Buddhist Temple Before?

You don’t need to be a Buddhist or have any previous meditation experience to visit. Come with your questions, have a look around, and experience the Temple for yourself.

You can come on your own, with friends, or with your family. Everyone is welcome!
