FUNDRAISING GOAL & MEANING
Our goal this year is to raise $10,000.00 for the International Temples Project (ITP). The ITP supports our efforts to help people in the Greater Toronto area develop positive minds, increasing inner peace and, thereby, world peace.
As our founder, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso (Geshe-la) says, ‘Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible’.
Funds raised will go to the International Temples Project (ITP) established by Geshe-la with the aim of creating meditation centres and Temples worldwide, places where people can develop inner peace through the practice of meditation. The funds to create the Toronto Temple, for example, came from the ITP.
Therefore, the ITP serves the people of Toronto and we, in turn, are part of a global community dedicated to creating world peace. We are all part of the great web of kindness!
SPECIAL T-SHIRT
The special design t-shirt for this year is available for $25 at the Temple, online, or you can get it for FREE if you raise over $250 in sponsorship donations by June 1st.
We have t-shirts in Men, women and youth sizes.
Two options of a meeting point
* At the TEMPLE, gather at 1pm and take the subway together.
* At HIGH PARK, the meeting point is picnic area #1, near the High Park subway station, just as you enter High Park, close to Bloor and Colborne Lodge Dr (near The Chess House).

Yes, please bring your family, friends and dogs. Everyone is welcome! We have a $10 registration fee to make it very accessible for anyone to join this sponsored walk.
Where does the money go if I can’t complete the walk?
All proceeds collected will go to the International Temples Project regardless if you complete the walk or not. But we pray that you’re able to because it will be a lovely event!
