Wednesday Drop-in Meditation Class ~ Exploring Buddhism: A Path to Inner Peace (A series of six classes)

Exploring Buddhism:
A Path to Inner Peace

In this new series of six meditation classes, you will learn the foundations of Buddhist philosophy and meditation practice, which can help us maintain a positive perspective on life and approach everyday challenges with greater clarity and calm. The classes offer step-by-step guidance on the Buddhist path to inner peace in a way that is accessible and practical for everyone, regardless of background or experience.

These classes include two guided meditations and a practical talk on a weekly topic. After each class, there is time for Q&A.

Each class is self-contained so feel free to drop-in when you can!  Each class will be followed by complimentary refreshments and the opportunity to ask questions. Everybody welcome!

Class dates & topics:

Sept 10: Scientific Methods Taught By Buddha

Sept 17: Faith & The Key To Inner Peace

Sept 24 : How Our Mind Continues After Death

Oct 1: What is Modern Kadampa Buddhism

Oct 8: Controlling Our Mind With Lamrim

Oct 15: What is Meditation and How Does It Help?

  • Each class is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any point.

Our classes begin with a brief introduction, followed by an initial guided meditation to settle the mind and create a feeling of inner peace. This is followed by a talk on an aspect of meditation practice related to the series topic, and concludes with a guided meditation related to the talk.

After each class, we invite you to join us in our community room for complimentary refreshments and an opportunity to ask questions.

You do not need to be a Buddhist to attend, and no previous experience with meditation is required.

    Everybody is welcome!

  • These classes are held in the peaceful, spacious and comfortable meditation room at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada. We also have many books and other meditation materials available at our Temple shop which can help you deepen your understanding of the meditation experience through further study.
